“What a blast – for all the senses – I cannot say how worthwhile my Howdy Buenos Aires trip was…other than to say, if you’re interested in an exotic city…just go. You’ll be well looked after!”

So you’re an independent, inquisitive traveller who’s looking for the perfect opportunity to really get to know that exotic city of faded elegance– Buenos Aires.

Then this is your invitation to travel to Buenos Aires for an insider’s 10 Day “Howdy Buenos Aires” tour.

Question: Are you interested in a trip to Argentina departing mid-April-May 2010…then we’d love to hear from you – as a single traveller or a group of up to 6-8 people.

We aim to keep to an ‘all up ‘ (flights/accomodation/guide) package priced at under NZ$4000.

We lead trips of no more than 10 travellers – with flights and accommodation included, as well as a Spanish speaking guide who will take you to where the average tourist definitely doesn’t roam – from private restaurants, to the best steak, old tango halls, jazz clubs to the drama of a live football match.

Howdy Buenos Aires exists for the modern day, independent traveller who wants an intense, personalised Buenos Aires discovery experience – off the main drag – with other like-minded individuals seeking to have a great time and a great holiday in this dynamic metropolis.

Interested? Then please read on…

This 10 day visit to the Paris of the Pampas is designed to give first time visitors an up close, intimate and at times, offbeat introduction to one of the most sophisticated travel destinations in the world – while meeting the people and exploring their food, wine, music, fashion, art and culture.

“Mike Howie’s Howdy Buenos Aires Tours gave us a real insider’s view of this vast city while also giving us ample time to explore independently. We hit the ground running and saw Buenos Aires, an amazingly vast city, in a way that would have been impossible without someone with intimate on-the-ground knowledge – definitely recommended.”
Stephen Marr, Ponsonby, Auckland

My Philosophy;

“To experience and gain an insight into the gritty, fascinating, reality of Buenos Aires – the eating, dancing, lounging, shopping and walking – you first have to find a way to bypass the clichés and in doing so get an insight into both the classical and the new in this infamous port city.

Since 2001, the year of this country’s worst economic meltdown, I began making extended sojourns to Buenos Aires. In the past seven years, the country has undergone a miraculous renaissance especially with regard to the local art, fashion, culture and the very way Argentines perceive their place in the world. It’s a fascinating time to greet the Argentines.”

A note on the itinerary: The tours are designed for up to no more than 10 inquisitive travellers – those who want to explore/shop/museum hop/cafe lounge for part of the day will have ample opportunity with incisive walking maps and general guidance being offered. As well, there’ll be daily ‘mini’ activity tours with Mike, a fluent Spanish speaker.

Check out the Itinerary here – it’s designed to give a flavour of the essentials for a ten day insider’s jaunt to Buenos Aires. It’s suggested only and nothing is fixed or mandatory.

The 10 day Howdy Buenos Aires experience includes return airfare, modern apartment accommodation and Spanish speaking guide for the cost of *NZ$4000.00 (refer ‘the small print’)
